Day 2

Today’s activity will start early at 5.30a.m. where we will take part in a canopy walkway, which will let us see the rainforest from a different perspective at about 30 meters above ground level. The bridges will allow us to appreciate nature from a high altitude, where we will have a panoramic view of the Rio Madre de Dios. From platforms you can observe different species of birds such as toucans and macaws.

Lunch this day will be served at the Amasisa Lodge, which is located inside the National Reserve of Tambopata, on lake Sandoval. We will have dinner back at our lodge (Madre de Dios).

After breakfast we get ready for a fun challenging activity on the trees at more than 30 meters high, for this activity we will have an instructor guide who will give us a talk on how to use the safety harness for the Zip-line, feeling the adrenaline of sliding through the trees. We will then return to the lodge for lunch and rest.

In the afternoon we will visit Monkey Island located on Madre de Dios River. Many different species of monkeys such as brown capuchin, squirrel monkey, saddle back tamarin, and white capuchin can be found on the island.
