Day 3

Today’s activity will start early at 5.30a.m. where we will take part in a canopy walkway, which will let us see the rainforest from a different perspective at about 30 meters above ground level. The bridges will allow us to appreciate nature from a high altitude, where we will have a panoramic view of the Rio Madre de Dios. From platforms you can observe different species of birds such as toucans and macaws.

After breakfast get ready for a fun & challenging activity, located 30 meters above the ground in the trees! That is right, we will be zip lining! For this activity, an instructor will guide us and advise us on the use of the safety harness before starting the activity and feeling the adrenaline rush from sliding through the trees. We will then return to the lodge for lunch and rest.

In the afternoon we will visit Monkey Island located on Madre de Dios River. Many different species of monkeys such as brown capuchin, squirrel monkey, saddle back tamarin, and white capuchin can be found on the island. We will also have time to go kayaking on the river.

We will then head back to the lodge where you will take your transport back to Puerto Maldonado arriving between 4.30pm and 5pm.
