We will start the tour to Q’eswachaka Rope Bridge at 4:30 AM, where you will be picked-up from your hotel. Our first stop will be in Combapata, where we will enjoy a local breakfast and have access to bathroom facilities.
We will visit the viewpoint of Combapata before continuing with our tour passing through the district of Yanaoca, which is one of the eight districts in the province of Canas, Cusco. We will drive for another hour to the Q’ewe district where the famous Inca bridge of “Q’eswachaka” is located. The bridge is built from vegetable fiber known as icchu’ (straw) and has a length of 28.67 meters. Every year during the month of June the bridge is rebuilt by four local communities: Huinchiri, Chaupibanda, Ccollana, Quehue and Pelcaro. We will have time to explore Q’eswachaka and the surrounding area and your guide will tell you the history of this incredible Inca engineering that is earthquake resistant!
We will continue our trip for an hour more and where we will have the opportunity to see the lagoons of: Pampamarca, Asnacqocha, Acopía and Pomacanchi. We will stop for lunch where we can observe a large amount of regional flora and fauna experiencing an enriched Andean culture. On our way back to Cusco we will stop at Rumipunku Portal and then continue on to Cusco arriving at approximately 4:30 pm.
