This expedition is for lovers of adventure and action-packed activities. Leaving Cusco by bus you will travel to Abra Malaga, a mountain located 4350 m.a.s.l, which is at the foot of a gigantic glacier known as Veronica. The views here are breathtaking and you will ride for 2.5 hours on a paved road taking in this gorgeous scenery all the way to Santa Maria.

What to Expect

In the afternoon you will experience the wild waters of Vilcanota while white water rafting down levels 3 & 4. The following day you will hike from Santa Maria to Santa Teresa through cloud forest visiting small villages and even walking on part of the original Inca trail that in the past connected to Mach Picchu.

Before arriving to the thermal hot springs you will cross Vilcanota River by cable car. The following day starts with zip lining before driving to Hidroelectrica where you will hike along the railway line to Aguas Calientes. In the morning you will wake up early and hike to Machu Picchu, where you will have a guided tour followed by free time to explore this majestic place on your own before taking the train and bus back to Cusco.
